Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care, helping us look beneath the surface of your teeth and gums to catch problems that aren't visible during a regular exam. At Ohio Family Dentistry, low-radiation digital imaging gives us a fast, precise view of your teeth and jaw for accurate diagnosis, with images that appear on screen in seconds rather than minutes.

What Digital X-Rays Help Us See

  • Decay between teeth — cavities that aren't visible to the naked eye.
  • Bone levels — changes that can signal gum disease.
  • Tooth and root position — useful for planning fillings, crowns, or extractions.
  • Emerging or impacted teeth — especially in children and teens.

Part of a Complete Picture

Digital X-rays work alongside other tools in our office to support an accurate diagnosis. Dr. Sultan reviews imaging as part of your exam, and for more complex cases, our Cone Beam CT (3D) Imaging can provide additional detail. We also keep every image organized in your file through Digital Patient Charting, so your history is easy to reference at future visits.
