Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is a small, pen-sized camera that captures close-up images of your teeth, gums, and bite. Instead of relying on a mirror and a verbal description, you can see the same view on a chair-side screen, which makes it easier to follow along during an exam and understand any treatment recommendation.

How It's Used

  • Visual Exams — Highlights areas like cracks, worn fillings, or early decay that can be hard to see otherwise.
  • Patient Education — Lets you view exactly what we see, so questions about your treatment plan are easy to ask and answer.
  • Progress Tracking — Images can be saved alongside your Digital Patient Charting to compare changes over time.

Working With Other Diagnostics

Intraoral camera images often complement other on-site imaging. Digital X-Rays and Cone Beam CT (3D) Imaging can show what's happening beneath the surface, while the intraoral camera shows the surface detail itself, giving a fuller picture to support diagnosis and planning.
